How Transactions Work

Every transaction on GMC Marketplace is personally facilitated by our admin team. Both parties electronically sign an Asset Purchase Agreement before payment — anonymously, in-platform — and funds are secured before any assets are transferred.

Step 1

Find Your Listing

Browse verified listings of ecommerce stores with established GMC history. Use filters to find listings by niche, country, price, and platform. Click "Buy This Store" or "Ask a Question" to start.

Every listing is reviewed by our admin team before going live. Sellers display a trust tier badge (Verified, Trusted, or Elite) based on their identity verification and deal history. Unverified sellers are clearly labelled — look for the tier badges to buy with confidence.

Step 2

Agree on Sale Terms

Our admin team connects buyer and seller and facilitates negotiation until both parties agree on price and what is included in the sale.

All communication stays on the platform chat, creating a complete record. You accept the Platform Transaction Terms when submitting a buy request or listing — the binding Asset Purchase Agreement is issued once terms are agreed.

Step 3

Sign the Asset Purchase Agreement

Once sale terms are agreed, GMC Marketplace automatically issues an Asset Purchase Agreement for electronic signature by both buyer and seller — directly in the deal chat.

Each party signs their own anonymous counterpart: you never see the other party's legal name in the contract — only a platform reference (e.g. B-3F9A21 / S-8C2D14). GMC Marketplace holds the fully executed agreement and verified identity records as Records Custodian (Tagan Labs LLC). Payment cannot be requested until both parties have signed.

Step 4

Buyer Secures the Deal

After the Asset Purchase Agreement is fully signed, the buyer submits payment through GMC Marketplace to confirm the purchase.

Funds are held securely throughout the process. The seller knows the buyer is serious, and the buyer knows their money is protected until transfer is confirmed.

Step 5

Seller Transfers the Assets

The seller transfers all digital assets to the buyer, guided step-by-step by our admin team. This typically includes:

  • Shopify or WooCommerce store ownership
  • Domain name transfer
  • Google Merchant Center or Meta advertising platform access
  • Advertising account access (if applicable)
  • Associated business assets & platform credentials
Step 6

Buyer Confirms Transfer

The buyer verifies that all assets have been successfully transferred and confirms that the transaction is complete. Our admin team checks in to ensure everything went smoothly.

Step 7

Seller Gets Paid

Once confirmed, GMC Marketplace releases the settlement funds to the seller, minus any applicable platform fees.

Payments to non-USA bank accounts incur a $25 international wire transfer fee charged by our banking provider.

Asset Purchase Agreement

When buyer and seller agree on price, GMC Marketplace issues an Asset Purchase Agreement — the binding contract for that specific deal. Both parties sign electronically, directly in the deal chat. This is separate from the Platform Transaction Terms you accept when listing or submitting a buy request.

Anonymous counterpart signing

Buyer and seller each sign their own copy. You never see the other party's legal identity in the contract — only an anonymous platform reference. Your own legal details are entered in your signature block and stay in your signed PDF only.

Payment blocked until signed

Payment cannot be requested until both parties have signed. The “Agreement Signed” milestone completes automatically when e-signatures are received.

Held by GMC Marketplace

GMC Marketplace (Tagan Labs LLC, as Records Custodian) retains both executed counterparts, audit logs, and a confidential Identity Schedule linking verified identities to each deal — disclosed only under the triggers in the agreement.

In-platform e-signature

Review and sign from the Deal Progress panel in your deal chat. No need to leave the platform or share contact details with the counterparty.

Each deal receives a unique agreement (APA reference + Sale ID). The full contract text is generated for your specific listing, price, and assets — it is not a generic template you sign in advance.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

All communication goes through our platform chat, creating a complete record. If a dispute arises, our admin team investigates and can hold funds while the issue is reviewed. We work with both parties to reach a fair resolution.

GMC Marketplace facilitates transactions between independent buyers and sellers. The binding contract for each deal is the Asset Purchase Agreement, executed electronically by both parties. Tagan Labs LLC operates GMC Marketplace as a technology platform, transaction facilitator, and Records Custodian for executed agreements — it is not a party to the underlying sale.
