Buying a Store
What types of assets can I buy on GMC Marketplace?
You can buy verified Shopify and WooCommerce ecommerce stores with established Google Merchant Center or Meta advertising history, and Shopify apps & ecommerce tools. Each listing includes detailed information about the store including niche, country, age, and performance metrics.
How do I buy a store on GMC Marketplace?
Browse available listings, click "Buy This Store" on a listing you're interested in, and submit a buy request. Our admin team will review your request, connect you with the seller, and personally guide you through every step of the transaction.
Can I browse listings without creating an account?
Yes! All listings are publicly visible. You can browse, filter, and view full listing details without signing up. You only need an account when you're ready to buy, ask a question, or list your own store.
Do I need to verify my identity before buying?
We strongly recommend it. Unverified users are publicly labelled as "Unverified" on the marketplace — which means sellers are far less likely to engage with you. Verification takes 2 minutes: upload a government-issued ID, business registration document, or store admin screenshot via your Profile page. Once verified, you unlock the Verified tier badge and build trust immediately.
What does "established GMC history" mean?
An established Google Merchant Center (GMC) account is one with a verified history of activity and compliance. This means the store has an active GMC ready to run Google Shopping ads after transfer. We also list stores with established Meta advertising history (Facebook/Instagram) — these are verified and ready to scale from day one.
Can I make an offer below the asking price?
Some listings display "ENQUIRE" instead of a fixed price — simply click the Enquire button to start a conversation. For fixed-price listings, you can also enquire to discuss pricing with the admin team who will liaise with the seller on your behalf.
How long does a transfer take?
Most transfers complete within 3–7 business days. This includes payment confirmation, asset transfer (store, domain, platform access), buyer verification, and seller payout. Our admin team keeps both parties updated throughout.
Is my payment protected?
Yes. Funds are secured by GMC Marketplace before any assets are transferred. The seller only receives payment after the buyer confirms that all assets have been successfully transferred. If something goes wrong, our admin team investigates.
What currencies are supported?
Listings can be priced in USD ($), EUR (€), or GBP (£). You can filter listings by currency on the marketplace.
Buyer Protection
Is Buyer Protection included?
Yes. Free Buyer Protection is included on every GMC Marketplace transaction at no extra cost. Every deal is supported by our admin-guided transaction process. GMC Marketplace helps coordinate the buyer, seller, payment collection, asset handover and transfer confirmation. Seller funds are only released once the buyer confirms the agreed assets have been transferred.
Is Terry Ecom involved in the deals?
Yes. GMC Marketplace was built by Terry Ecom, and transactions are supported by Terry Ecom and the GMC Marketplace team. This gives buyers and sellers a more hands-on process than a generic marketplace where users are left to manage everything alone.
What does Buyer Protection cover?
Buyer Protection covers the transaction and handover process, including listing review, deal communication, secure payment collection, admin-guided transfer support, transfer confirmation and seller payout after buyer confirmation.
What does Buyer Protection not cover?
Buyer Protection does not guarantee future GMC approval, Google Ads performance, Meta Ads performance, Shopify Payments status, revenue, profit, ROAS, account health, supplier performance, customer chargebacks, future platform suspensions or decisions made by Google, Shopify, Meta, payment providers or other third-party platforms.
When does the seller get paid?
The seller is paid after the buyer confirms the agreed assets have been transferred. This is part of the GMC Marketplace Buyer Protection process.
Why is GMC Marketplace safer than buying directly from a seller?
Buying directly from a seller can mean sending money without a structured handover process. GMC Marketplace adds Buyer Protection, admin-guided transaction support, deal records, secure payment before transfer, and seller payout after buyer transfer confirmation.
Selling a Store
How do I list my store for sale?
Click "Sell Your Store" in the navigation, fill out the listing form with your store details, and submit it for review. Our admin team will verify the information and approve your listing — usually within 24 hours.
What types of assets can I sell?
You can sell Shopify stores and WooCommerce stores with established Google Merchant Center or Meta advertising history, and Shopify apps & ecommerce tools. We accept listings from sellers worldwide.
Is there a fee to list my store?
No. Listing your store is completely free. There are no listing fees, no monthly fees, and no hidden charges. You only pay commission when your store sells.
What are the commission fees?
Commission is only charged on completed sales. The fee is $/€500 minimum or 15% of the sale price — whichever is higher. This is paid by the seller only and is deducted from the funds you receive. Buyers pay nothing.
What information do I need to provide?
You'll need your store niche, business country, platform (Shopify or WooCommerce), and asking price. For GMC stores: selling feed countries, GMC age, and advertising metrics. For Meta stores: advertising status, pixel age, monthly spend, and ROAS. For Shopify apps & tools: app name, MRR, and monthly costs (minimum listing price $1,000). All information must be accurate and verifiable.
Can I update my listing after it's live?
Yes. You can request price reductions, update your public information, or boost your listing for extra visibility — all from your Dashboard. Changes are reviewed by admin before going live.
What is a "Boosted" listing?
Boosted listings get premium placement at the top of the marketplace table and appear highlighted with an amber background. Boosting significantly increases your listing's visibility to potential buyers. You can request a boost from your Dashboard.
Are there any fees for receiving my payout?
If your bank account is based in the USA, there are no additional fees. Payments to non-USA bank accounts incur a $25 international wire transfer fee, charged by our banking provider and deducted from your payout.
What countries can I sell from?
GMC Marketplace is a global platform. We accept listings from sellers in any country. Your listing will show your business country and relevant store details.
Transactions & Security
How does the transaction process work?
The process has 5 steps: (1) Find a listing, (2) Buyer secures the deal by submitting payment, (3) Seller transfers the store and assets with admin guidance, (4) Buyer confirms the transfer, (5) Seller gets paid. Who facilitates the transaction?
Every transaction is personally facilitated by our admin team. They manage communication between buyer and seller, coordinate asset transfers step-by-step, verify completion, and handle payment settlement. You're never left on your own.
What if there's a dispute?
All communication goes through our platform chat, creating a complete record. Our admin team investigates disputes and can hold funds while the issue is reviewed. We work with both parties to reach a fair resolution.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted and stored securely. Identity verification documents are reviewed by admin only and are not stored permanently. We never share your personal information with other users without your consent.
Is there a fee for international payments?
Yes. Payments to non-USA bank accounts incur a $25 international wire transfer fee. This is charged by our banking provider and is unavoidable for all international transfers. The fee is deducted from the seller's payout.
Platform Features
What is GMC Scout?
GMC Scout is our automated verification tool that scans listing data to help verify store information. It checks product counts, domain age, and other metrics. GMC Scout results appear on listing detail pages, giving buyers additional confidence in the accuracy of the listing.
How are listings verified?
Every listing goes through a two-step verification: (1) Admin review — our team manually checks all submitted information, and (2) GMC Scout — automated scanning verifies store data. Sellers who have completed identity verification display a trust tier badge (Verified, Trusted, or Elite). Sellers who have not verified their identity are publicly labelled as "Unverified Seller".
What are the Verified, Trusted, and Elite seller tiers?
GMC Marketplace uses a 3-tier trust system. Verified (1/3): the seller's identity has been confirmed via government ID. Trusted (2/3): identity verified plus at least 1 completed deal on the platform. Elite (3/3): identity verified plus 3 or more completed deals — the highest trust level. Each tier is displayed as a badge with progress ticks on every listing.
What does "Unverified" mean on a listing?
If a seller has not completed identity verification, their listing displays an "Unverified Seller" label. This means their identity has not been confirmed by GMC Marketplace. We strongly recommend buyers exercise additional caution with unverified sellers, and we encourage all sellers to verify — it takes just 2 minutes.
What is the Watchlist?
You can add any listing to your Watchlist by clicking the eye icon. This lets you easily track listings you're interested in from your Dashboard. You'll also receive notifications if the price drops on a watchlisted listing.
What is the referral programme?
Earn 20% of our commission on every successful deal made by someone you refer. Share your unique referral link (found in your Dashboard under "Referrals"), and when a referred user completes a purchase or sale, you get paid. No limits, lifetime referrals.
Do you post listings on social media?
Yes! New listings are automatically shared on our social media channels (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) to maximise exposure. Boosted listings get additional promotion. Follow us to stay updated on the latest listings.
Do I get notified about new listings?
Yes. You can receive notifications via email, push notifications, and WhatsApp when new listings are posted, prices drop, or listings sell. Manage your notification preferences in your profile settings.
Account & Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation. You can register with an email and password, or sign up instantly with Google. After registering, verify your email to activate your account. We strongly recommend completing identity verification right away — unverified members are labelled as such on the marketplace.
Why should I verify my identity?
Unverified members are publicly labelled as "Unverified" on all listings and interactions. Buyers skip unverified sellers. Sellers avoid unverified buyers. Verifying your identity takes just 2 minutes and instantly upgrades your profile to "Verified" status, building trust with everyone on the platform. You can verify via your Profile page.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page, enter your email, and we'll send you a reset link. Click the link in your email to set a new password.
Why do I need a WhatsApp number?
We use WhatsApp for important transaction notifications and to enable fast communication during deals. Adding your WhatsApp number ensures you never miss a critical update. It's required before you can submit buy requests or ask questions.
How do I contact support?
Go to Messages in the navigation and click "Contact Support" to start a direct chat with our admin team. We typically respond within a few hours during business hours.
